External disease

This service treats conditions related to the outside of the eyeball. These include the cornea which is a transparent layer and the sclera which is the white of the eye.

What the service does
The cornea is affected by inflammations, trauma and allergy and infections. These conditions are treated to prevent the cornea from losing its transparency. The sclera may also be affected by these conditions and it needs to be preserved since it protects the inner tissues of the eye.
