Trauma Unit

This department deals with blunt and perforating serious trauma. The service is working 24 hours for dealing with emergency cases. All trauma cases are deemed to be an emergency requiring appropriate early attention.

What this service does.
Injuries to the eye may occur from blunt objects or from small sharp metal or glass pieces. A variety of other injuries may occur. Trauma may be serious and result in loss of sight unless treated immediately. This service will deal with all injuries related to the eye, involving, the eyelids, the cornea, sclera, the lens and the retina. The trauma is team is well equipped with significant ocular injuries.
