Refund & Cancellation Policy

How payments, cancellations and refunds work for services booked through our website.

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to payments made through our website, surajeyeinstitute.org (“Website”), including online appointment registration, consultation fees, and other services or donations paid online. By making a payment through the Website, you agree to this Policy.

1. Appointment & consultation payments

  • Rescheduling or cancellation 24 hours or more before your appointment: reschedule at no charge, or request a full refund of any amount paid online.
  • Within 24 hours of the appointment, or a missed / “no-show” appointment: the amount paid may be retained or, at the hospital’s discretion, adjusted toward a future visit.
  • To cancel or reschedule: call 0712-2595600 / 0712-2595636 (Mon–Sat, 9 am–6 pm) or email services@surajeye.org, quoting your name and appointment reference number.

2. Failed, duplicate, or incorrect transactions

If an amount is debited from your account but your booking is not confirmed, or you are charged more than once for the same booking, the excess or failed amount will be refunded in full. Please contact us with your transaction reference / UTR number, along with the date and amount.

3. Services already provided

Fees for consultations already attended, and for diagnostic tests, investigations, procedures, or other medical services already provided, are not refundable.

4. Surgical and procedure payments

Advance payments for surgery or in-patient procedures are governed by the hospital’s billing terms and the estimate provided to you at the time. For any refund relating to a surgical package or admission, please contact our Accounts / Billing team on 0712-2595600.

5. Donations

Donations made through the Website are voluntary and are generally non-refundable. If a donation was made in error or charged twice, please contact us within 7 days at services@surajeye.org and we will review the request.

6. Government schemes & insurance

Where treatment is covered under a government scheme or an insurance / TPA arrangement, refunds (if any) are subject to the rules of the relevant scheme or insurer.

7. How refunds are processed

  • Approved refunds are made to the original payment method (the UPI ID, bank account, or card used for the payment).
  • Refunds are normally initiated within 5–7 working days of approval. After initiation, it may take a further 5–7 working days for the amount to reflect, depending on your bank or card issuer.

We aim to acknowledge refund requests within 3 working days.

Suraj Eye Institute reserves the right to amend this Policy at any time. This Policy is governed by the laws of India, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at Nagpur, Maharashtra.
