The hospital also provides advanced Glaucoma and Vitreoretinal services. Eyecare has evolved and with modern machinery it is easier to detect problems at a much granular level with high confidence level. The Hospital is equipped with advanced technology and has in-house instruments to perform advanced tests like Fundus Fluorescein Angiography (FFA), Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Lasers, etc. The hospital has also developed a State-of-the-art Operation Theatre which is unmatched in Central India.

The Suraj Eye Institute is a NonProfit Foundation with a three point approach
1. Quality eye care
2. Technology and Science
3. Community Eye Care
These constitute the core vision of the Institute. The Institute was founded on February 11th, 2002. We had the pleasure and grace of Dr. and Dr. Mrs. SS Badrinath who inaugurated the Institute. Dr. Vinay Nangia who trained in Britain, and Boston, wanted for several years to see the Institute come up and it did with the blessings, good will and trust of several partners none the least were the Rotarians of Holland. The Institute is a unit of Om Drishti Trust.
