Train alongside our consultants in glaucoma, retina, cataract, cornea and paediatric ophthalmology — in a busy two-campus teaching hospital with more than 30 years of research behind it.
Choose your subspecialty
Each fellowship combines outpatient clinics, surgery, imaging and research under the supervision of a subspecialty consultant.
Glaucoma
Medical, laser and surgical glaucoma — trabeculectomy, glaucoma drainage devices and MIGS (Hydrus, iStent inject W) — with visual-field and OCT interpretation, in our Centre of Excellence for glaucoma.

Vitreoretinal surgery for retinal detachment, diabetic eye disease and trauma, intravitreal therapy and retinopathy-of-prematurity care.

Phacoemulsification and modern lens implantation together with glaucoma care, including combined cataract and glaucoma surgery.

Keratoplasty with our own eye bank, ocular-surface disease, infections and anterior-segment surgery.

Children’s cataract and glaucoma, squint, amblyopia and school screening through our KidSight programme.

Fellows take part in our research — 218 peer-reviewed publications — and teach DNB residents through case presentations and the Suraj Eye Sciences Academy.
